Our Programmes

Allavida is concerned with mobilizing financial resources, building local grantmaking and grant management capacity, enhancing skills in community organizations for local development, encouraging local philanthropy, and facilitating learning in and between organizations. We bind this set of approaches together with a commitment to learning and sharing.

We implement a variety of programmes in our focal regions of South East Europe, Central Asia and East Africa.

In these regions, we focus on five key themes:

• organisational development
• individual learning
• grantmaking
• philanthropy
• influencing

Among our partners and beneficiary organisations are both registered and non-registered NGOs, and our priority is to reach those informal, grass-roots, voluntary associations which contribute towards a pluralistic and healthy society, providing services to vulnerable people, and which are often overlooked by the larger funders.
