Allavida is an independent organisation, registered as a charity in the UK, with an experienced Board of Trustees and Directors. Allavida is supported by European and American trusts and foundations and by individual donors. It also benefits from grants from organisations such as the Big Lottery Fund and the Department for International Development.

Allavida (Kenya) is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee. Chaired by Mr Aleke Dondo, Managing Director of K-Rep Ltd, the new Allavida Board in Kenya brings together senior professionals from the financial and social sectors.

Allavida Appoints a New CEO

At the end of December 2007, Allavida’s founding CEO Andrew Kingman, left the organization to take up new challenges in Mozambique. Mrs Wamuyu Mahinda, formerly with Techno serve in Kenya, and currently the Chief Commissioners of the Girl Guides of Kenya becomes Allavida’s new CEO with effect from January 2008.
